The project is a collaborative effort.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vinnumalastofnun.is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Employment Service<\/a>&nbsp;and the Innovation Center of Iceland. Participation in the project is open to companies and individuals operating throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"minni-styrkir\">Smaller grants<\/h2>\n\n\n<style><\/style><style><\/style>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-palette-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-palette-color-1-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.atvinnumalkvenna.is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women&#x27;s employment<\/a>&nbsp;It aims to reduce female unemployment, maintain settlement across the country, facilitate women&#x27;s access to capital, and increase diversity in the workforce. The Employment Service administers the fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rannis.is\/sjodir\/rannsoknir\/taeknithrounarsjodur\/fyrirtaekjastyrkur-frae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Seed<\/a>&nbsp;It aims to support ideas and projects in their early stages that could lead to a larger development project. Rann\u00eds manages that fund.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjornarradid.is\/default.aspx?PageID=511b979b-3866-11e6-80c7-005056bc217f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grants and funds from the ministries<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/orkustofnun.is\/orkustofnun\/rad-og-nefndir\/orkusjodur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Energy fund<\/a>&nbsp; is the property of the state and is responsible for its obligations. The Minister of Industry oversees the fund. The Energy Agency handles the daily administration of the Energy Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sjodir-tengdir-sjavarutvegi-og-fiskeldi\"><strong>Fisheries and aquaculture funds<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.umsj.is\/\">Marine Farming Environmental Fund<\/a>&nbsp;operates in accordance with law no.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.althingi.is\/lagas\/nuna\/2008071.html\">71\/2008&nbsp;<\/a>regarding fish farming, and is an independent fund owned by the state under its control&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.anr.is\/\">Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture<\/a>.The purpose of the fund is to finance projects aimed at adapting fish farming in the country as much as possible to the existing environmental conditions, thereby minimizing the environmental impact of net pen farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjornarradid.is\/verkefni\/atvinnuvegir\/sjavarutvegur-og-fiskeldi\/fiskeldissjodur\/\">Fisheries Fund<\/a>&nbsp;is a fund established under Article 7 of the Act No. 89\/2019 on the collection of a fee for marine fish farming and the Fish Farming Fund. The purpose of community grants is to support projects that strengthen the community and\/or its infrastructure, and projects that have cultural or social value.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.riotintoalcan.is\/?PageID=45\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rio Tinto Alcan Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;provides charitable contributions to non-profit organizations, clubs, and associations, non-governmental organizations, other grassroots business associations, and\/or academic institutions such as universities, all of which are officially registered as such.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.landsbankinn.is\/samfelagsleg-abyrgd\/studningur-vid-samfelagid\/samfelagssjodur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Landsbankinn Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;It is tasked with providing grants to worthy projects. Annually, it awards scholarships, community grants, and environmental grants, while performance grants are awarded every other year. Review panels are composed of professionals in each field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.landsvirkjun.is\/fyrirtaekid\/styrkveitingar\/samfelagssjodur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Landsvirkjun Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;Supports projects that have broad social relevance and the potential to have a positive impact on Icelandic society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.valitor.is\/um-valitor\/samfelagssjodur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Valitor Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;The purpose of the fund is to support a wide range of cultural, humanitarian, and community affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.efla.is\/umsokn-um-styrki-sp-1917354976\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eflu Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;The purpose of the fund is to give back, and its mission is to provide grants for worthy projects. EFLA supports constructive and positive projects in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandsbanki.is\/um-islandsbanka\/samfelagsleg-abyrgd\/frumkvodlasjodur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Icelandic Bank&#x27;s Venture Capital Fund<\/a>&nbsp;The fund supports entrepreneurial projects that focus on renewable energy and sustainable fisheries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.alcoa.com\/iceland\/ic\/info_page\/community_grants.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aloca Fjords Community Fund<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 Support is only provided to non-profit organizations or institutions in Central East Iceland.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"staerri-styrkir\">Larger grants<\/h2>\n\n\n<style><\/style><style><\/style>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-palette-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-palette-color-1-background-color has-background is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rannis.is\/sjodir\/\">Rann\u00eds<\/a>&nbsp;holds, among other things, on the outside&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rannis.is\/sjodir\/rannsoknir\/taeknithrounarsjodur\/\">Technology Development Fund<\/a>&nbsp;and other funds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detailed information and an overview of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmi.is\/is\/frumkvodlar\/studningur\/norraenir-styrkir-og-studningur\">Nordic grants and support projects.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"margir-mismunandi-moguleikar-eru-i-bodi-i-evropskum-styrkjum\">Many different options are available in European grants.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rannis.is\/sjodir\/rannsoknir\/horizon-2020\/\">Horizon 2020 EU Framework Programme (2013\u20132020)<\/a>&nbsp;Research, Development and Innovation is the EU&#x27;s main funding tool for research in Europe. Individuals, companies, universities, research institutions, and various organizations in Iceland can participate in projects within Horizon 2020.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/smes\/cosme_en\">COSME - EU Competitiveness Programme&nbsp;<\/a>is a program aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises. Its main objective is to promote the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/nmi.is\/media\/123493\/eureka.pdf\">EUREKA<\/a>&nbsp;is a collaborative platform on a company-driven basis. Applications are evaluated by the home countries. The Technology Development Fund can finance Eureka projects. Intergovernmental cooperation of 40 European countries and the European Union on technological and industrial development.
