Exciting times are ahead for Grindavík's business community. Under the banner of the "Grindavík Together in Pursuit" project, organized initiatives will begin that will strengthen the region's competitiveness and sustainability for the future. The project will officially begin on June 4, 2026, and an excellent group of companies has already signed up.
A formal association of employers – now is the opportunity
One of the project's key objectives is to establish a formal association of business owners in Grindavík. The association will serve as a platform for common interests, collaboration, and coordinated strategic planning for businesses in the area, as well as ensuring that the voices of the business community are heard where it matters.
Three project groups – your expertise in the right place
Participants will work in three targeted project groups, each with a clear role and impact:
- Product Development and Experience – to develop and enhance the services and experience that visitors and residents have in the area.
- Coordinated image and marketing of the region – to build a shared identity and coordinated marketing efforts.
- The blue economy, innovation, and the circular economy – to analyze and utilize the opportunities in fisheries, innovation, and sustainability.
