Applications open for Startup Land

Do you have an idea that could become a business? Or do you run a business that wants to develop new products, services, or solutions? Then you could Startup Land Be the next step.

Applications are now open for Startup Land, an innovation and business accelerator specifically designed for entrepreneurs, startups, and innovation projects in rural areas. The project's goal is to help participants advance their ideas, build a strong network, and gain access to expert advice that can be crucial in the early stages of the growth process. 

Startup Landið is organized in collaboration with regional organizations across the country, including the Association of Municipalities in the South West (SSS), and is based on the belief that strong innovation can emerge anywhere in the country. The project is largely online and therefore accessible to participants regardless of location. 

Participants receive, among other things:

  • Access to experienced instructors and experts.
  • Workshops and training on operations, marketing, and financing.
  • An opportunity to build a network of entrepreneurs, investors, and partners.
  • Support for developing ideas from the initial stages into viable business opportunities. 

The South Coast is home to great drive, knowledge, and experience. In recent years, the region has shown that it is an ideal environment for innovation and job creation. Therefore, SSS encourages everyone who has an idea in mind—whether it's related to tourism, technology, food production, the creative industries, sustainability, or other fields—to learn about the project and apply.
