A total of 1,000,000 47 applications to Startup Land, a business accelerator for entrepreneurs and innovation projects in rural areas, but the application deadline was midnight on Tuesday, September 1.
Applications came from all over the country, and the number reflects the energy that lies in innovation and entrepreneurship in rural areas.
Startup Land It begins on September 24 and runs for seven weeks. During that time, participants get access to mentors, targeted education, and a strong network that supports the development of their projects and helps the teams take the next steps.
The accelerator concludes with a final event in Selfoss on November 5, where participants will present their projects and the progress made during the accelerator.
The Startup Landsins selection committee is now reviewing the applications and selecting the projects that will be offered participation in the accelerator. The selected teams will be announced next week.
The number and geographical distribution of the applications show that interest in innovation and entrepreneurship is truly not limited to one region of the country, and it is clear that there is a demand for support and a platform for entrepreneurs across the country.
