Iceland Tourism Office presentation on Icelandic export sectors
The Icelandic Office is currently traveling around the country to present the revised export policy and report on the Icelandic Office's actions and services in support of exports.
Last year, a revised long-term strategy for Icelandic exports was approved at a meeting of the Export and Marketing Council. The Icelandic Export Agency led the development of the strategy, which is a collaborative project between the government and the business community. Its goal is to promote increased export revenues and sustainable economic growth in Iceland.
In February and March 2026, representatives of the Icelandic Institute will set foot on the ground, led by Pétur Þ. Óskarsson, the Director of the Icelandic Institute, and tour the country to present the revised policy.
The fifth stop on the journey is Reykjanesbær, where an introductory meeting will be held in collaboration with the Association of Municipalities in the Southern Region (SSS). The meeting will be held at Hotel Keflavík in Reykjanesbær on February 26th from 11:30-13:30 . Local soup and coffee will be served.
