Conversation about creative industries
creative articles . This time there will be no formal talks or panels. Instead, we will focus entirely on open dialogue and creating a space where participants can talk both with each other and with us. The meeting will take place at CCP in Gróska, 3rd floor, at Bjargargata 1, 102 Reykjavík, from 8:30-10:15.
The network around the Creative Industries Research Center has been growing rapidly, and we want to take this opportunity to invite people from different creative industries to meet, share experiences, and discuss issues together. We encourage practitioners, managers, academics, policymakers, and anyone interested in the creative industries to join the conversation. Participants will sit at a table where a group leader will moderate the discussions and summarize the main points. We encourage people to arrive early and enjoy coffee and breakfast provided by CCP. A Teams meeting will also be available for those who cannot make it to the venue, the number of participants will depend on registration. The conversation will be held in English at 1-2 tables (after registration).
Together we will reflect on questions about the future of culture and the creative industries: What do we want to strengthen? What do we need to change? And how do we want the Icelandic creative landscape to develop in the coming years?
The objectives of the meeting are to:
- gain deeper insight into the status and possible future of creative industries in Iceland
- identify questions that are worth researching, discussing, and developing further
- create an open space for conversation for a diverse group of participants.
Participants can submit suggestions for discussion topics during registration. Suggested questions will be available at the tables if needed, but the main focus is on open and participant-centered conversation. At the end of the meeting, group leaders will briefly review their table discussions, and then the discussion will be opened up between tables. After the meeting, the RSSG will compare the points from the tables and share a summary with participants.
